Alert Management and Job Alerts

Overview

Alert Management allows the user to enable automatic email notifications when SQL Server Agent jobs fail. Once configured, necessary users will receive real-time alerts without manual monitoring, ensuring critical job failures are addressed immediately.

Job Alerts

Job Alerts are configurations that link specific SQL Server Agent jobs to notification rules. When a job fails, CALUMO automatically sends notifications to the assigned Groups.

Job Alert Management

The Job Alert Management interface allows administrators to: - Create and manage job failure alerts - Assign Groups to receive notifications - View notification delivery history - Edit and delete alerts

Creating an Alert for one or more Jobs.

  1. Set up the notification system for the necessary jobs using Job Alerts Configuration
  2. Create a new alert in Alert Management and link it to one or more jobs. (Use Alert Management Usability to understand how to create and manage alerts.)
  3. Assign the appropriate Group(s) to the alert.
  4. Users in the respective Group(s) will receive emails when the job fails.
