Configuration for HTTPS

If you require extra security when running CALUMO, you can run the CALUMO Web Server via HTTPS.

The first thing you will need to do is to get an SSL certificate.

  • If you want to use HTTPS with your CALUMO site exposed to the internet, you will need to get an SSL certificate from one of the main providers like Verisign, GeoTrust, Comodo, DigiCert or GoDaddy.
  • If you are using HTTPS for CALUMO from purely internal sites within your Corporate network, you can use an internal certificate authority to issue the SSL certificate.

Once you have your certificate, you will need to configure IIS to run HTTPS. The following links from Microsoft describe this process:

Once IIS has been configured, you need to make sure your users update their bookmarks and get your users to configure their CALUMO Office clients to use the new address.
