CALUMO 2025.4

Breaking Changes

New Features

Skylights > Enhanced Stability and Performance

Skylights now deliver a more reliable and consistent reporting experience with several critical fixes.

  • Persistent Slicer Selections: Non-cached slicer selections are now properly retained when reports are loaded, ensuring consistent filtering behavior across sessions.
  • Stable Report Layout: Fixed an issue where Skylight images would reposition during refresh, causing the bottom portion of reports to disappear.
  • Reliable Chart Refresh: Charts now update correctly with the latest values instead of displaying a persistent loading icon.

Start Pages > Window Display Mode with Enhanced Navigation

Start Pages now support a Window display style with improved navigation controls and user guidance.

  • Admin Notifications: Administrators see prompts and banners when setting start pages to “Window” display style, providing clear guidance on configuration options.
  • Navigation Fix: Resolved a critical issue where users could not return to the Home screen when the default start page was set to display as a window.
  • User-Specific Guidance: Toast notifications now differentiate between admin and regular users, providing tailored instructions and options to access full CALUMO features.
  • Dismissible Messages: Users can dismiss notification messages while retaining the ability to navigate back to standard CALUMO features.

Custom Editable Tables > Clone Feature and Enhanced Validation

Custom Editable Tables now include cloning capabilities and improved validation to streamline table management.

  • Clone Feature: Users can now quickly duplicate existing custom editable tables with a single action, improving workflow efficiency.
  • Server-Side Duplicate Validation: Edit and Clone modals now display toast messages when duplicate table names are detected, providing immediate feedback and preventing conflicts.
  • Table Name Protection: Table names are now locked in edit mode, preventing accidental changes that could compromise data integrity.

Charts > Font Rendering and Alignment Improvements

Chart rendering has been enhanced to ensure accurate visual representation.

  • Correct Header Font Rendering: Header fonts in Excel graphs now display correctly in published CALUMO reports. Unsupported fonts are automatically replaced with the closest matching Google Font for consistent presentation.
  • Negative Value Alignment: Resolved alignment issues for charts with negative values when the axis is positioned on the right side.
  • Chart Properties Fix: Fixed an issue where Theme and Position dropdowns were collapsing in Chart Area Properties.

Visuals > Improved Rendering Reliability

Visual reports now provide a cleaner, more reliable experience with refined error handling.

  • Corrected Rendering Logic: Visual rendering logic has been improved to prevent spurious errors and warnings from being displayed to users.
  • Cleaner User Experience: Users no longer encounter misleading error messages during visual report loading and interaction.

Apps Access Control Improvements

Apps are now only visible to non-admin users if they are part of a designated group, giving admins tighter control over access by default.

Apps Permission Denial Messaging

Users without access to an app now see a clear, helpful message instead of a generic error, making it easier to understand and resolve access issues.

Visual Beta > Visual Report Loading Fix

Visual reports now load without errors or toast messages, improving reliability and delivering a smoother user experience in Visual Beta.

  • Introduced a robust framework for managing sensitive credentials, leveraging variables for secure storage and access.

Advanced OLAP Connection Logging

  • Improved session type detection and structured logging methods
  • Enhanced error handling and sanitization of sensitive connection data

  • The certificate used to sign the CALUMO Office Client has been changed to use the general insightsoftware code signing certificate.
    If you run a high-trust Microsoft Office environment, you might need to trust the public version of this certificate as a “Trusted Publisher”.
